Our story

Barkerville Chinooks is a kennel line established in 2016 based in Lewiston, Maine. Barkerville Chinooks is dedicated to the preservation of the Chinook breed. Barkerville Chinooks was founded by Tom Reynolds and Ira Bittues and their two Chinooks, Lily Marie and Claudia Jean (CJ). CJ was the mother of their first litter, Bartlett.

The kennel line is named after the area that Tom and Ira live in Lewiston. Their land sits where the old Barkerville Mill was previously.
