Barkerville Chinooks takes pride in ensuring that every person who takes care of one of our puppies is ready for the responsibility, passion, and love that comes with owning a Chinook. All of our applicants must go through an application process that includes an application, interview, and puppy visit. If you have any questions please contact us.

We are generally accepting applications for puppies but, we invite you to fill out our general inquiry for us to add your contact info to our list serve.

What is the difference between an application and an interest?

Barkerville Chinooks takes pride in ensuring that each of our puppies goes to the best home. As such, we do not accept applications on a first-come-first-serve basis, but rather we evaluate applications and interest to ensure that all of the puppies go to the best home possible.

When will I know if I am selected?

Once you’ve submitted an inquiry, we will reach out to learn more, and potentially schedule an interview and puppy visit. This process can take a couple of weeks to a month, especially if the litter was just born.

Can I swing by and meet the puppies?

The puppies are getting adjusted to their new life. We do not allow constant social visits. If you are interested in adopting a puppy, please submit a puppy inquiry, and if selected we will schedule an interview and puppy visit.
